A Time to Give is one of the numerous ways Bailey’s Fine Jewelry gives back to the community. The Bailey family came up with this innovative program as a way to provide watch battery replacements for their patrons and support the community at the same time.
Patrons can visit either of the Bailey’s Fine Jewelry store locations in Raleigh (Cameron Village or Crabtree Valley Mall) and receive a free replacement watch battery. Bailey’s Fine Jewelry absorbs the cost of almost all replacement batteries, which typically range anywhere from $10 to $15 per watch, and asks instead for a charitable donation. Each store selects a non-profit organization to which 100 percent of the donations are directed on a month-by-month basis.
During the month of September, Bailey's at Cameron Village and Crabtree will give 100% of the donations received to The Wide Open Charitable Foundation!
This may be one of the most exciting WOCF events yet!

As we begin another letter campaign, we are reminded of how much work still needs to be done to help researchers find a cure. We are reminded that only 4% of the federal budget for cancer research is given to pediatric cancer research. We are reminded that, in the last 20 years, only two drugs have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of pediatric cancer.
Because of generous donors like you we have raised over $230,000.00 for childhood cancer research at UNC Children’s Hospital. In our recent conversations with Dr. Ian Davis (William’s oncologist) we learned that he is another step closer to beginning a clinical trial for promising treatments he has been researching.
UNC Children’s Hospital treats over 70,000 children in all 100 counties in North Carolina, many of whom are fighting cancer. In partnership with other agencies, UNC Children's Hospital has over 250 clinical trials ongoing for childhood cancer.
Please consider donating to The Wide Open Charitable Foundation and help us provide hope to the families with kids fighting cancer. All of the money raised from this campaign will be donated.
We are a nonprofit in Raleigh that focuses on raising money for the research of Neuroblastoma and Childhood Cancers while offering support and hope to the families with children battling these diseases.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us with fundraising events, toy drives and more!
100% of donations received will fund childhood cancer research at UNC Children's Hospital. The Wide Open Charitable Foundation is a registered IRS 501 C3 nonprofit.
