Our spirit night at Tijuana Flats was a huge success thanks to all those who came out to show their support! Tijuana provided (as always) delicious food and tremendous support. Steve Holcomb, our musician, added to the fun by playing a cover of Salt N' Pepa "Push It" which received so many rave reviews he played an encore of it at the end of the night!
We met so many wonderful people, including a few cancer warriors and were humbled and honored to receive donations. All of the money raised through the spirit night was donated to The Webb Family whose 5 year old daughter, Georgia Mae, is being treated for Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer at UNC Children's Hospital.
Not only did we surpass our fundraising goal...we more than doubled it! In total, we were able to donate $1,066.00 to The Webb Family!
The good news doesn't stop there...
We will be partnering with Tijuana Flats to host these Spirit Nights every month for the rest of the year!

Gift card suggestions:
As we look ahead to another year of fundraising, we are reminded of how much we miss William.
Each year that goes by, we are flooded with “William would have” moments (William would have been driving, William would have gone to prom, William would have a job). It is a gentle reminder for us not to take any of life’s “would have” moments for granted. It is also the fuel that drives our fundraising efforts.
Because of generous donors like you we have raised over $200,000.00 for childhood cancer research at UNC Children’s Hospital. In our recent conversations with Dr. Ian Davis (William’s oncologist) we learned that he is another step closer to beginning a clinical trial for promising treatments he has been researching. As we begin our fundraising for 2019 we will not be taking any “would have” moments for granted. We WILL raise the money needed for Dr. Ian Davis to begin his clinic trial and we need your help!
UNC Children’s Hospital treats over 70,000 children in all 100 counties in North Carolina, many of whom are fighting cancer. Additionally, childhood cancer research receives only 4% of the overall federal budget for cancer research.
Please consider donating to The Wide Open Charitable Foundation and help us turn “would have” moments into reality! All of the money raised from this campaign will be donated.
We are a nonprofit in Raleigh that focuses on raising money for the research of Neuroblastoma and Childhood Cancers while offering support and hope to the families with children battling these diseases.
