Dr. Ian Davis is a pediatric oncologist at UNC Children's Hospital. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University in 1995 and went on to complete his residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital in 1999. Dr. Davis then completed a fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children's Hospital in the area of pediatric hematology and oncology in 2002.
We first met Dr. Davis while William was being treated for Neuroblastoma Cancer at UNC Children's Hospital. Dr. Davis' compassion towards his patients and their families, commitment to studying and curing childhood cancer, and selflessness within the field touched our hearts.
The WOCF is honored to help fund Dr. Davis' ongoing research in the area of childhood cancer. Having toured his research facility in Chapel Hill, NC and seen, first-hand, some of his work we know that each dollar donated puts him one step closer to finding improved treatments for patients and potential cures for this horrible disease.
